I connected very well with the Chapter four reading. The idea that scientist is more than an emotionless individual really caught my attention. Many of my friends outside of the science realm feel that I may be unemotional about certain things they get truly excited about. However, I am a quiet individual that picks and chooses when to express visible emotion. With that being said, I appreciate how the reading touched on how science can have emotions that are gathered through romance and adventure by making new discoveries. Furthermore, the love, joy and happiness one feels by making a new discovery is just as real as someone receiving their first kiss. In The Pond in Winter chapter, I understand and agree that it is sometimes difficult to measure someone’s character because it is continuously changing and evolving.
