The reading connected to me when it talked about the virtue of meticulousness and attentiveness. I find myself trying to balance these virtues, but sometimes feel as though I have these virtues in excess. The reading on page 16 matched this very well, as it talks about how being inattentive or not being meticulous can be referred to as being sloppy or careless. Additionally, the excess of these virtues would lead to someone who is obsessive. I identify with the struggle of balancing these virtues, because I constantly feel the need to be meticulous and attentive in science courses. However, I realize that I sometimes go overboard and irritate professors and my fellow classmates when I become overly meticulous or attentive in order to achieve a certain grade. With that being said, figuring out the amount of each virtue that should be expressed can help me achieve success as a physician. Furthermore, it will allow me to form and maintain lifelong friendships throughout my entire life.
